Separation of Tiger Bromelaid

I have a really nice tiger brom that flowered last spring. Is it really necessary to separate the plants? Mine has what looks like two growing from the same base (2 cups). I rather like the way it looks. Do I really need to separate them?

Also they seem to be way to big for the pot. Can I just re-pot them to a larger pot together?

Thanks

Shar you can repot them in a larger pot taking care they have good drainage and plenty of food in the growing season. If it is one of the larger Tiger varieties eventually you will have to separate them.
