Quesnelia humilis Care

creutz

Hello. I got a Quesnelia humilis in late July this summer. The plant was shipped to me and when I got it, it was quite dehydrated and reddish in colour. I potted the plant upon arrival with 50:50 non-conifer woodchips and peat moss as my media. I watered it a few times with diluted orchid fertilizer. I also mist the plant twice a day everyday and have it positioned on the corner of my living room, which has north facing windows. After a week or so, the plant started turning green again.

It's been more than two months now since I got the plant and I haven't seen any improvements from it. Its colour hasn't improved or gotten worse. It's not producing any new leaves or pups and its current leaves are starting to senesce. Am I doing something wrong or are Quesnelia species that slow growing? I'm very much worried I have to say.

This is my first time growing a bromeliad. Any help or tips would be very helpful and appreciated. Thanks for reading :)
