    Very nice, Chanin!

I'm wondering what Mr. Phanom's clustering Bill is. Looks like a B. pyramidalis hybrid, but smaller.

Hi Stephania, fantastic pictures as usual, and very convenient to have all the name tags for ID. Did you by any chance run into ksx106 taking pics for our forum as well?

Is pic No.5 a shot of you taking a much needed spell after taking all of the pics? So many great pics, I will need more time to absorb,

Thanks again, All the best, Nev.

    Thanks so much Chanin!
You Thai-folk sure have the knack of not only growing broms to perfection, but also displaying them with great artistic flair - oh, and then photographing them so well!

Next time you post photos, would you please number each one, so that we can easily refer to them for comments/questions later?

Chanin, or any one else that recognise the plant, I have to ask one question. Any idea what that huge variegated plant in the first picture is? Sitting on the left side of the entrance, just below the platycerum. Can that be DeRolf?

I am bringing this thread up again as I need experts' help to ID the following bromeliads. Many thanks in advance!

This is labelled Ae. lueddemanniana Mend, is this similar to Ae. lueddemanniana (rubra) on Michael's plant list?
    {{gwi:512598}}

    Any ID for this?

    Hi Lyndi

I'll have a stab at it...

No Ae. lueddemanniana (rubra) is not albo-marg. Ae leud rubra has no variegation. I am not too sure about the rubra part because if you put a standard luedd in good light it changes to a nice pinky colour.

    2-no idea

    3-looks like a de Rolf...

    Dennis

  • avane_gw

Lyndi, I also queried the plant with the pink tips, and this is what Chanin had to say about that a bit higher up : "Japie, at first glance that look like 'DeRolf' but actually it's an unregistered hybrid
which my brom friend Veerachai bought from Philippine hybridizer"

The first one IS Aech Mend (albo-marginated cv of lueddemanniana) listed 2nd from top on pade 3 of Michael's list. Like Dennis said, Rubra does not have any variegation. And Dennis, Rubra gets a bit deeper red colour when exposed to plenty light, compared to the normal one.

And nr 3 I have no idea, Lyndi. But some things that Michael has that is very close, is Neo Fernay Grove and Red Pride (both from the Aussie Dream group).
