I haven't seen one of these in a long while. Too many hybrids that looked alike in the nutans group.

Yeah I'm afraid that it might not still be in collections in the US, but i'll keep looking in case.

The most likely grower to have it would have to be Michael Kiehl http://michaelsbromeliads.com When he bought out Don Beadle's nursery he had to have acquired the most comprehensive Billbergia collection in the world! I didn't see 'El Nino' on his list, but you might find a very suitable substitute.
