| I have a Tillandsia heteromorpha and its basal leaves are starting to turn grey and crunchy. Now I read that this is going to happen if it soon to produce a pup. However I have had this since August and it hasn't flowered in that time. Do you think that it may have flowered before I bought it or that it is actually dying? Thanks! |

| T. heteromorpha rarely flowers for the average collector until it has some years under it's belt. It is an extremely slow species. They will produce offsets without flowering. The dead leaves that are attached to the stem should remain there. If removed the stem looks quite naked and skinny |
