Tillandsia potting with hypertufa pots, need suggestions.

I would love to use these to plant an arrangement of 30 air plants. What would be the best media to put in them? And how should I keep them attached to the medium on top? Should I lay flat on stones? Or put rocks around the roots or bottom part to keep them from falling off? Any suggestions would be great.

I would use salt free wood. No pressure treated wood either.The media you have could hold to much moisture.

I don't have any media yet. That's what I need help with..fill these things with just rocks and set the plants on top or what?

NO Dirt for Tillies, they will rot. how big are those pots? Do they have drainage holes? if so just put enough gravel to set the plants in place or use a cork to attach the plant to.. The only reason for roots on Tillandsia's are to hold in place doesn't take in nourishment or water they are only used for support..basically you can use anything that doesn't hold water.
