It has a bamboo like look...interesting plant

I've never seen the plant, just photos, but to me it looks fairly similar to Ae. correia-araujoi without any black markings. Since I like black markings, I'd rather grow c-a.

lisa....i have that c-a.....but are the flower spikes similar?

btw lisa......before i came to your nusery i had about 10 bromeliads. now i have about 360 varieties.....and i still blame you! LOL i still collect gingers too, but the bromeliads have somewhat taken over my life.....but in a good way. LOL

Judging by the photos in Rauh's and Baensch's books, the flower spike looks very similar in structure. It's hard to tell the relative size of the two plants though. From the FCBS photo I'm thinking bambusoides is probably a bit bigger, and the color of the bracts looks a bit pinker, whereas on c-a they are orange.
