Winter holiday color with bromeliads

A simple composition with just one massed planting of Neoregelia 'Bossa Nova' which thrives in this Alameda garden planted below a Marina Madrone tree and contained by boxwood hedging. I started this planting bed by dividing up a single large clump of the Neoregelia into individual pups, and now have enough to cull for other gardens twice a year without signs of thinning out. My take on a bit of white "frost" in a late December garden.

Here is a link that might be useful: Neoregelia 'Bossa Nova'

Hi everyone,

Bahia - I have found the same with Neo Sheeba; also it's one of the few Neo's without prickles on the leaves and will tolerate full sun in my area.

I started with a pup five or six years ago and now have four clumps this size plus one that I sold to a bloke who wouldn't take no for an answer and had more money than sense.

Sheeba

All the best, Nev.

Nev, your Neo. Sheba is gorgeous, one I shall have to look for as well. It someways it looks like Bossa Nova with a pink tinge...

Hi everyone,

Bahia - Yes it is very much like Bossa Nova, in fact when it's grown in the shade, only the experts can tell them apart. I seem to remember it was something about the edge of the leaves that's the difference.

Anyway to you and my other brom friends on this site, I'd like to wish you all a very Happy Christmas and Festive Season and I hope Santa is kind to you all.

All the best, Nev.

I bought one from you. It is outside and thriving. Great plant for the landscape here.
