| This plant is 3 yers old. I had it in a pot until last spring, when I put it in the ground. It apparently really, really REALLY likes where it is.
This is also it's first flush; there were a few blooms in the spring and basically none over the summer. It smells like heaven too! Barb |
Here is a link that might be useful: Big 'ole Datura

| Big 'ole Datura looks to me like a Big 'ole Brugmansia......a nice one at that! I find they are happier in the ground. Sometimes the "finds" are really great. I have a pink brug that blooms and blooms and blooms. It has no id and is a little deeper than Frosty, equally as fragrant, but a prolific bloomer. |

| No, it's a datura - self-seeding, upright flowers, etc. I do have two brugs on either side of the datura - they have the downward facing, bell-shaped flowers and don't self-sow. The brugs were supposed to be the "stars" of the garden - maybe next year since daturas aren't hardy here. I do need to look this datura up to see what cultivar it is. As you can imagine, I AM saving ghe seeds! Barb |
