 This is Double White, a hybrid of Brug. x candida. It is not one of my best growers, rather slow, no real fragrance, but when those blooms unfurl, they get everyone's attention. Nothing like them and, I think, much more attractive than Shredded White (DW is more elegant and graceful in form.) Enjoy. |

| You say yours has next to no fragrance. I kept mine for 5 years, even though the second bloom rarely falls down out of the first one, but the fragrance was wonderful. This also was one Brug that I did not cut back to bring in because it would flower off and on over the winter in the GH in 'less than ideal conditions'. :)) Often it would bloom when I wasn't expecting it and just opening the GH door was a dead give away that it was blooming. The fragrance of one flower would fill my 10' X 10' GH in the evening. This is one thing I find tantelizing about Brugs, they perform so differently in different environments so you just never know which one will do well for 'you'. :)) |
