The same thing happened to me with a Cherub and I still can't figure it out.

That little Inca Sun cutting's bloom is still holding on! I'm watering it with some dirty water from my fish tanks. All of my cuttings are energized by it! I also had a Pink Beauty bloom for me last year from a cutting. It produced 7 blooms on it's small 7 inch stem! All but 2 fell off. It was still amazing. It had to self pollinate since nothing else was blooming down there. Dan I just wanted to say that all of the cuttings you gave me are gorgeous! They were SO long that I made several cuttings from each- and they are all thriving! Looking forward to trading with you next year if you like!

My wife has a horse tank in the garage that she keeps turtles in. I have started using that water to water my plants also. I thought it was a good idea. My wife thought I was crazy. I think it will work really well.
I trimmed some of the cuttings that I sent out so they would fit in the packages. Most of the pieces were 2" to 3" long. I was going to throw them away but I decided to put them in pots instead. They all have started really well and I am thinking about using only tiny cuttings from now on. That way the plants will all be coming up from the pot instead of being side shoots. I'll try and post some photos of them.

Bill- I think that's a great idea too! Probably lots of nitrogen in it. I always root everything- from long branches to tips, nothing is wasted. I saw a really great way to pot up hard to root cuttings- place an inch of moist spaghnum moss in a cup, place cutting on that, add Perlite, then top with Perlite. Water well til water comes out the bottom. Keeps moisture in without getting waterlogged.
