Brug seeds - questions and picture

I posted back on Oct. 2 about a seed pod on my Snowbank brug. I kept waiting for it to dry up so I could pick it. But it never did and we had a frost a couple of weeks ago so I picked it then. Later the outer 'skin' peeled off and I was left with a 2 sided seed pod. I took off the seeds on one side. They came off easily and are dry.

My questions: Is it suppose to look like this? Do the seeds look normal? Would one night of frost have hurt it?

I guess I could go ahead and plant some and see what happens.

Thanks.

Clare
