Sorry to hear of your loss. Last summer I had to put down an 18 yr old tom that was born in our son's chest of drawers. He was a dog hunter, He whipped all the dogs that people brought to visit us. I can't have a cat now, I got a boston terrier that hates and tries to kill anything furry that is smaller than her. She has 3 opossums under her belt.

Prince Albert, Tommy was a dog hunter too! The bigger the dog the more he hated it. Picked dog fur out of his teeth more than once.

So sorry for your loss. I lost my best friend "Rudy" a 12 year old Golden Retreiver to cancer 4 years ago,but I will always be Rudy625 till I cross the rainbow bridge to be with him again.Keep your chin up,it never goes away,but it does get better with time.

Thanks Dan, today is the first full day without my Tommy and I will miss his presence terribly. From right now, when he's usually on my lap while I'm at the computer.

I'd think of this poem whenever I lost a beloved pet.

I didn't know that I wasn't the only one with a dog hating cat I had to laugh at your reply. I miss zippy still, and still think of him when I see a big yellow cat.
