You say that your seed pods have been developing for 2 months, which might not be long enough for the seeds to mature before they open. Mine take about about 5-6 months to develop. I watch them- when they appear to have grown fat and very full, and then turn a lighter green, or yellow, and start to get soft, then they are ready to harvest. If I were you- I'd leave the rest of your pods on the branch til they get that mature, then harvest them. You should probably try to plant some of the seeds that you harvested, and see what happens. Were the seeds brown, or white? They are covered with a corky skin when mature and that has to be peeled off before planting. Good luck!:)

I agree with Kasha,2 months is very short for mature seeds.I have pods on plants that have been been on since August,and still are not ripe. As Kathy said,wait for the color change and the pods start to get a little soft. 2 months is way tooo short.

What the previous two posters said. 2 months = not ripe.
