Datura Seeds with Some Mold

debndulcy

I just found a large pot of Datura pods I cut off, as the weather got cold early here this past fall.. in the garage, under another pot (there about 3-4 mos)...

Glad to find them, but most of the pods had some mold on them. I cleaned up/out the seeds best I could, and had thought to put a little sulfur powder on them before putting in a jar or envelope - and waiting to plant this spring.

Will they be viable without - or with - the sulfur, or would you recommend something else (so mold start hasn't ruined them)? I read in an earlier section that sulfur is used to facilitate germination, so not sure what to do, or what would ensure as much viability as possible.

THANK YOU in advance for advice or input: I love my daturas and wanted to pass along started plants to friends this year.
