This is what I do...

Set my cuttings in a 16oz glass and fill it up with 6" of water. I keep this out of direct light and on my kitchen counter, temps are not too much of a concern for me.

I change the water every day replacing it to the same water line. After anywhere from 10 to 20 days when the roots are 1-2" long I pot them up in soil. I moisten the soil pretty good then I first plant them but then try not to keep it too wet, or the cuttings will rot. I keep these under a shop light or on my kitchen counter. I peek and check how the root system is developing, if the roots are looking good and growing the hard part is done (about 1-3 weeks later).

Thx for yr quick reply. When you pot them up, do you put in some vermicullite or anything else, or just potting soil? Don't know why this is stressing me so much. Well, I know one reason it is stressing me: I ordered from what appeared to be an online nursery, but when payment actually went thru, I discovered it was an e-bay seller, and I am leery of them. I also ordered 2 potted brugs just to cover my bases, but haven't rcvd them yet. Hopefully, next year I can trade with others and not buy blindly like this.

Yeah, that would stress me too!

I use regular sterile (fresh) potting soil like Pro-Mix or MG. I will add vermicullite if the mix is too heavy, but I am usually ok. Well draining is the key. Some cuttings are a breeze to root and some take some more time, but practice makes...better (gardeners are never perfect) : )
