mother brug from nursery

I took photos of it today. They don't really do it justice, but you get the idea. This is the peach versicolor my cutting came off of years ago, and it keeps going strong.

Hi Tommy,
That reminds me of the brugs that I saw when I was in Puerto Rico 5 years ago. They were truly small trees and gorgeous like the brug in the picture. Thanks for the pic. It really does help to chase away the winter blues!

I love when they get to be trees. I only see them like that in zone 10 or warmer. The conservatory near me cuts them down and starts all over from cuttings once they begin looking like trees. I can't understand why and their reason doesn't make sense to me. They claim that once theirs reach tree size that bloomsing slows, which obviously isn't true. Just look at your photo. I hate when they chop up brugs the big brugs.

What I love is that this is INDOORS in Colorado. I really want a greenhouse just like this one!

Me to Diane. Have over 70 brugs that I don't get the full blossom season. Have to bring them in the garage to finish blossoming. Not as real as outside. Know what I mean? Soon!

Gee Jerry, in Minnesota I guess they don't! So you must have some light in your garage, or do you set up artificial ones?
I took my 3 smallest brugs out and put them in a window, watered them well. I have room for them indoors to get started, the big ones are going to have to wait awhile.

Yeah Eloise, see original post, it's a peach versicolor. They chop it back each fall and grow new plants from the cuttings to sell in the nursery the following spring and summer. I can't imagine how many people around here have this plant! All from the tree in the photo.
