Don't give up on your CG yet...I have a friend who lives north of DFW Airport and her inground brugs are emerging, even in spots where she feared they might have succumbed to very wet soil during the winter. My friend has great success with Dr. Seuss, one of CG's parents.

I can't say I have one favorite brug based on fragrance, altho I love the vanilla scent of my white Arborea (doubt it would like the TX heat). A heavy bloomer with a fragrance some compare to baby powder is KBS. As of now, my total favorite brug for combined qualities is New Orleans Lady, which does have a very nice fragrance.

patrick, thanks for the info, and I think your right about not giving up on it. Yesterday I saw a tiny bit of green in my container CG brug. The one in the ground still looks dead.

Mine look dead in the ground too. I have about 20 in the garden, no signs of life yet- I do have over 100 new rooted cuttings - thankfully I did take a few cuttings off the old ones before winter. I think I love Dr. Suess the best!

My 2 brugs in ground also show no sign of life. Fortunately I have rootings ready to plant. I think I'll give them 2 weeks, then I 'll have to dig them out and replace with the cuttings. changsong

Well, I just had to dig around mine, couldn't wait any longer. Only 2 out of 12 lived- both were Dr Seuss. Our winter was brutal for NC this year. Well, I've got tons of new ones I'm going to put in the ground over this coming week.
