I planted 5 and had 2 germinate. I didn't do anything special. I wouldn't give up:) Sorry I don't have any more advice.

I find that sanguinea seeds are the easiest to sprout and have one of the highest germination rates. I just can't manage to get them to bloom. Hopefully they will do better in the cool greenhouse with the other high elevation plants over the summer. We'll see. You might have old seed.
