Hello,

I have a brug that was great last year started from a cutting. This year it's not that great with holes in leaves (earwigs?) and now I see dust specks under some leaves which I know likely mean spider mites. Plus it makes sense that that's why the new leaves are not that big or green. But what I also see are orangish/red VERY little bugs under the leaves. These bugs have what I think is yellow on one side of them. Are they larvae of something?
I ask because before I spray the leaves AGAIN with something, I want to make sure that the orange speck bugs I see are not beneficials eating the mites, because if they are, I will just let them keep eating and nature will balance things out!

the reddish ones are spider mites. the yellow ones might be aphids. try spraying them with a strong jet of water several times a day for a couple of weeks. make sure to isolate the plant

That makes sense what you're saying although I've read that the mites are too small to see, that they are microscopic. The things I saw were small but I definitely saw them with the naked eye.

mites aren't microscopic. they kinda look like ground pepper, only red.

Thanks for the info, I think I will get some ladybugs and put them out.
