I finished putting vegetable plants in my community garden plot yesterday and added in two brugs. One is the Cherub I tried to kill two years ago. I put it in the plot last year to see if it would rally and by the end of the summer it had begun to put out true leaves. The other gardeners knew it as "the stick tree". Won't they be surprised this year - it has a bud on it already! The other I put in is Heloise, which I bought from Country Gardens 2 years ago. It bloomed one flower, once, in pumpkin orange, but was sold as a yellow. We'll see what it does as it spreads its toes in the dirt among the tomatoes and marigolds. Exciting time of year! Now I have to find a spot for the other 5 brugs at home!
