Cherub replacement

I've been waiting months now for Cherub to come back, and a cutting even that won't do anything. I visited the nurseryman to whom I gave cuttings last year (2 cherub, 1 santa rosa). His plants are amazing, having lived in ideal greenhouse conditions. He gave me a Cherub back! I have a gorgeous green plant that shows signs of blooming soon. What a guy! Now I have to give him cuttings from some others as a thank you gift!

Meanwhile I don't know what to do with the struggling cherub (this is the one that I sprayed with roundup last summer). Does anyone think if I put it in the ground and fertilized it might make a comeback?

See the benefits of sharing your plants. Plant people are the best. You can either plant the struggling one or keep it in a pot. I don't know if I'd give it fertilizer, especially full strength if it's stressed, but maybe something like Superthrive or other micronutrients would help. The worst that will happen is that it won't recover so you might as well give it a shot. Good luck.

I put the sad tree out in my veg garden plot. It's got tiny 1/2" leaves all over, but don't get excited because that's as big as they've grown in months. We'll see how it likes it out there all day in the sun. Sink or swim!
