I wanted to give a little more information as to why I am sure I probably over watered. \

Some, not all of the leaves are drooping even after watering, last year the brugs were not mulched, this year they are, and I didn't take that into account until now. Plus, it hasn't felt like May here at all. They are in a morning-3pm sun, then rest shade spot.

I have been trying to stay on a schedule with the watering, meaning even though it hasn't been hot here yet I've still stuck to that schedule, and watered.

I should have taken into account that the weather isn't as hot yet, the mulch holds in moisture and they probably didn't need watering.

Anyway, should I do anything? I hate to go digging around a plant that came back from last years years roots. Today is 91 and the rest of the week is supposed to be hot too. Anyone ever over watered a brug? Any and all advice welcome. Sorry for another long post :(

As long as the soil is well draining it's difficult to overwater an inground brug but you shouldn't have to be giving them much, if any, supplemental water this time of year. It's not like a container plant besides that you want the inground brugs roots to grow and search out water. Why don't you just leave it alone. Stop messing with it and leave it be. You are going to kill it with kindness.

One other thing, Scott- I was taking note today, in our 88 degree weather and in full sun, which of my brugs were wilting in the sun and which weren't. New Orleans Lady was all wilty. Serendipity and Gemini were all perky. These are just a few examples but it might be helpful if I or someone else makes a list of our observations, to reassure newbies that this is a normal process for some brugs.
As soon as the sun went behind the trees, NOL perked right up- you would never know she wilted.
Does your brug do the same- perk up after 3, when the shade hits it?

And I agree with Karyn, Scott. Relax, let it alone for a day or two. It will survive that much "neglect"!!!
If you were close enough, I could give you more brugs, as I am cutting back on my collection. Course, by Fall, I am right back up there!!! ;-) It is so hard to say no to the generous offers of members here but I am getting better.
