Question about a bud already on a small brug

I just put this in the ground this year. It was a cutting I assume I made above the Y I saved from last year. The brug is only about 2 feet tall. Do I leave it or what? It seems kind of weird that it has y'd off and has a bud already. I know they bloom earlier if a cutting is taken above the y, but I'm not sure I want buds this early on so a small plant.

3 questions:

1. Do I leave it alone and let it do it's thing?

2. Will my plant still continue to grow and make more y's?

3. What would be most beneficial to my plant having a bud this early on?

I forgot to attach the 3 photos of the brug. Would you leave the buds or remove them on one this size? No good camera, had to use sons ipod touch to take these. This was a cutting from last year put in ground in April 2011.

Leave it be. If the plant can't support it, it will drop but it looks plenty big and full enough. I've had flowers that were bigger then the plant they were on.

Oh you're just bragging (LOL!). It's too cute when those little plants have this great big old flower hanging on 'em. Pictures!
