When you say broken, do you mean kind of a rough, almost alligator skin look to the leaves? I've seen that happen from too much fertilizer.

DJ, Yes. I read something from this forum that Brugs like to have a lot of fertilizer and water. I did give them weak strength fertilizer everytime I water them. I will cut back on the fertilizer to see if this problem disppears. Thanks.

They definitely like a lot of fertilizer once they are actively growing. I wouldn't think some weak fertilizer would do that. I also give my plants fertilizer every time I water them which is every 2-3 days and I use full strength Miracle Gro. I had the alligator skin leaves on a couple of plants once I also added a handful of Milorganite to the tops of the pots. Not on all and they out grew it quickly.

Are you dissolving the Miracle Gro in the water to water with or spraying the leaves?..I water and fertilize, but NO blooms....frustrated...joe

ponda- they really love cooler temps in order to trigger blooming. Some of mine bloom a little here and there throughout summer, but the real show begins when the weather cools in the fall!

I water mine everyday with 1/4tsp/gal of water for they are still in 2 gl pot which dried up easier, although, I have not seen it dry but just worries me. Plants now are big enough for larger pots soon. Most recent grown leaves look normal now. They grow pretty fast and large.

So far, my newbie experience of Brug is not too frustrating. I guess my Brugs are not grow larger enough , reaching my frustrating point yet. I would like to see them bloom this year. Kasha, fact of cooler temp trigger blooming is comforting. I think/hope my brugs will Y before temperature getting cool and put out a show for me.

I read someone here starts to feed Brug. blooming fertilizer early on, should I cut down the N and give them more P?
