Sure but A plant that old could have a root ball 2 ft in diameter. I would take the cuttings at least 3 of each right before you move look for wood about 3/4 in , on newer but not still green bark , cut just above a node at least 8 in long.

Agree with rednofl, you can take the entire plant and put in a large pot, or root cuttings now and plant in smaller pots.

thanks think I will try to root some cuttings don't think hubby will want to dig them up.
