Ortho home defense you can spray your windows. They migrate to the light.. That is what my Mom does anyway then just vacuums them up. If you get really spunky you can catch them as they fly by with the vac. also..LOL

It might not be the chickens after all. Cluster flies come up out of the ground and "Cluster" around the house and flock to the windows once inside. Sometimes they appear dead between the windows during winter, but are hibernating. We had them back in NY- what a pain they were! Our chameleons had a feast though!:) I think there might be an insecticide that you can sprinkle on the ground around your home to kill them and break their life cycle. Check out Walmart.

I have tons of chickens but no more flies than I did before I had the chickens. If you keep stuff dry the flies leave when it comes to chickens. Plus my chickens would love to eat flies and would be in heaven if they found some maggets bleh. The baby ducks like them even more than the chickies lol.

Anyhow, you could try hanging some of those sticky fly strips out on the patio. I get the black flag ones at walmart for 1 dollar for a pkg of four. They seem to work about as good as anything. How about a bug zapper maybe hang something sweet near it to attract them during the day.

There's a fly attractant/trap you can buy at the home improvement stores. You could try that.

Yes, spray the windows. I have a cat who used to have a bad habit of throwing up in hidden places. One fly would get in the house and lay eggs in it, and suddenly, I had a swarm of flies! They were always thick on my kitchen windows looking for the light, and I sprayed that window many times. They would all eventually die, and the only problem left was cleaning that danged window all the time!
