I don't recall how long it takes to ripen but not nearly as long as a brug pod, maybe 2 months?? I've neve really paid attention. The fruit gets soft and the pod goes kind of white. It doesn't get much bigger then what you see now. They have a habit of dropping or being eaten when nearly ripe so you might want to cover it with something. The seeds are very small and vary in number. I've had as few as 5 ripe seeds but it's usually many more. They are beige to light brown. Occasionally there will be a few abnormal large irregular seeds, almost like a bunch grew together but I'm not sure those have been viable. Sometimes I just pick the fruit and allow it to dry then pull it apart to soak the seeds out when I'm ready to plant them. The fruit gets sticky, not dry. Kind of like a fruit rolll up. Germination is erratic when stored but fresh seeds germinate well in a couple weeks. I just press them into moist soil, cover and keep warm.

I have a ? too. My IG is growing really long, would you guys wind it around a wire and make it a topiary or should I cut it back.

They take a month or so.. they get mushy.. I dry mine.. They are in a lot of gooey gel which is more toxic than Brugs. So so be careful with that coz they squirt..I have had very good germination rate just keep them out of direct sun.. Good Luck and Congrats!!

Theresa.. Why not air layer and you get a bushy plant and a new one..It should not inhibit booming..
