A gritty mix isn't necessary or even good for a brug. Just use a high quality, well draining bagged mix. I like Fafard 3B, Foxfarm's Oceanforest and Happy Frog. It's possible that you will get flowers this season. It mainly depends on where on the original plant the cutting was taken. If from above a Y you might get blooms. I'd give them some Superthrive or B1 to help with transplant shock and to promote root development then start feeding. You might want to dilute the fertilizer the first couple times. I'd use a bloom booster (low nitrogen, high phosphorus and moderate potassium) at the rate of 1x/wk until about 4 weeks before the growing season ends. Good luck

Thanks Karyn1 for the helpful information. I haven't see Fafard, Foxfarm or Happy Frog bagged mix here but the new Mernard's does carry ProMix so I will use that instead. I'm not sure where the cutting was taken from though. As for fertilizer, I do have Superthrive. I will give that to the rooted cuttings then give them some diluted fertilizer in the following weeks. I do have some super bloom fertilizer with high P so I will use the same fertilizer for the brugs and my Adenium.

If using Promix you should amend it with a good bit of perlite and or vermiculite as well as a soil conditioner (organic material/compost). It's too peaty and doesn't drain that well. Make sure that you always premoisten Promix before putting it in a container.

And just so you know the difference, Superthrive is not a fertilizer. It's a vitamin and hormone supplement that is not found in regular fertilizers, or NPK mixes. So don't get in the mental habit of thinking 'I'm adding Superthrive to my watering this week, so I don't need to add fertilizer.'
You will need them both.
