I agree that it is the heat doing the pink one in as far as the second skirt not dropping. The triple white, has it ever dropped it's skirts in the cooler weather Karyn?
My Shawnee's Legacy double is throwing unusually shaped blooms at the moment and I attribute it solely to the heat while forming and preventing the throat of the first one to remain open long enough to allow the second bloom to come down. This is the first time it has ever done this but it is the hottest it has ever been here too.

Yep, I ditto all that. It's the same here and it's the heat. My tips get fried if they start coming out during the day and the rest of the flower looks fine. Flopping quicker to, but I don't usually have a whole lot of flowering going on until next month anyway and it's cooler then.

The triple white will sometimes drop it's inner skirts but I'd say they probably remain stuffed 60% of the time. It's finally cooled down here and feels so nice out. It's been in the 70's the past few days. Of course it's been overcast much of the time but it's a nice break from the heat. We're supposed to be back in the 90's by Sunday.

Hope the weather is cooling down for everyone. We've had some horrible days here with temps up to 109! I was on the freeway a couple of days ago, late afternoon, and my car registered 110! I can't wait till winter is here so I can then start complaining about how cold it is, LOL!
