Hi Chad. I think your tree looks nice and once it gets fed it will only look better. I am not an expert on Brugs but from what I have read and heard from other brug owners you are on the right track. Brugs love to eat.

You can cut it back as hard as youbwant. I just did mine. It was 17 feet tall. 5'6 at it's 'y' and I've been cutting back for the last 3 years hard, so it went from 17 ft tall to about 6 feet tall. It's been a week and it's already budding out. Also, rooting the cuttings I took. Awesome plant. Literally keep it fed well and watered and it will back bud beatifully. Just make sure you cut Above the first 'Y' branching on the trunk, it only blooms after the trunk forks. Happy growing!

normal, especially in hot and dry summers. Just whack it back, mulch it heavily and start feeding and watering in spring. Don't feed it now, you don't want a lot of new growth with winter and freezes coming.
