Would my flowers hang down like that I'd I trained it as a standard?

It can help, however, it is also dependent to a degree on the cultivar. Long flowers such as yours hang or dangle much better than shorter blooms.

johnsonm08, Yes, brugmansia is known to hang downwards, and is called 'Angel Trumpet' because of this habit. 'Devil's trumpet,' or Datura, point upwards (as if looking up from Hell). There are exceptions, as one poster mentioned, but basically, brugmansia blooms hang down. Pruning the bush will allow the flowers to fall naturally, and give a graceful, neat appearance.
