I am sure the grow lights would work fine as long as You don't water them. That's very easy to do with inside plants. The only problem is that they will get pretty big by May. They would probably blossom, though.

This past winter was my first year with Brugs and I really had no idea what to do so I put it in a bright room (no direct sunlight, just bright light) and I watered it maybe once a month very well. The tips got a little bit shriveled up, but when I planted it in the ground it grew very very fast and now I would say it has grown a good 5 feet since Late April (when it first started putting out real leaves).

Brugs are one of my easier plants to overwinter. I think that a place that is room temperature and dry is perfect for it to stay nice and dormant until spring. I almost got a bloom indoors early on when it first went inside, but the bud fell off just days before blooming!

Mine do fine in a bright window over our short winters. They do look pretty sad by the end even with plenty of light.

You probably have a lot less light with longer winters so the grow light would supplement what light you do have. They will still drop leaves and get spindly but at least you will have a head start on summer.
