Will my Brug Survive?

I'm so disgusted and sad. I have a beautiful peach color brugmansia that is about 5 feet tall. It bloomed last week and was simply gorgeous. But today from afar I noticed that all of the leaves were stripped and upon closer inspection found 5 large tomato hornworms and at least 5 more baby ones all over the plant munching away. After the disgusting task of removing them from the plant and tossing them into the canal, I'm now left wondering if my beauty will make a comeback? This is the first time I've had any insects attack my plant and I don't know if I should fertilize now to spur new growth or just leave it alone? Please help!! Btw I have a smaller maybe 3 feet tall yellow brug and no insects touched that one, is it the variety or should I spray it with something and if so what?
thanks in advance for all your help.
