My recommendation is to keep it alive -even if you keep it under lights. The main thing to watch is not to over-water it. Just enough to keep it hanging on.

Mine did fine this way - but as soon as I gave it too much water - poof!

Yes, you need to really keep it thriving as early spring was when mine bloomed Jeff. They can take the coolness as close to a window as you can give it. A spare bedroom with the heat register closed off is ideal.
