I found out that particular interesting looking cactus/tree thing was a Joshua Tree. I thought it was but the MIL said insistently that it was not. However, in the Mojave, you can actually research the plant life online for there. Which is a wonder I am thankful for! :D So I snapped a shot of one, well... More than one! And used those for reference. Hehe

Looks like it was a good trip despite the drive from HeII. I got thru some of the pics and will look at more later. Are you in either of the first pics with the bride & groom? Seeing that Bob's Big Boy brought back memories. It's where we used to go after a night of drinking when I was a kid. They're no longer around here but the one that we used to go to had a giant plaster "Bob" holding a tray out front. It went the way of the drive up Ho Jo's with the waitresses on roller skates. I miss those things : (

We used to hang out at a local Bob's Big Boy when I was younger also. Out in Northern Cali. It too had a plaster "Bob"! lol We have a Sonic out here where they roller skate in the nicer seasons. :)
