OT..Baby Tree Frog

Good Morning, I was out with my dogs & I saw this baby tree frog on my banana tree leaf! He is right next to my brug leaves & hope he has not been snacking! Does he look purple yet!!!! LOL!!!! I was so excited to see one so young! Speaking of banana trees I bought 4 at Home Depot tonight for $5.00 each! I was actually looking for T5 grow lights & ended up with banana trees instead. They will keep the brugs, amaryllis & other tropical plants company in the garage this winter. Now if I would just get the garage cleared out!

Awwww, he's so cute. It might not be a baby, just a tiny variety. $5 for a banana plant, not a bad deal! The HD by me doesn't put their plants on sale. They just send them back to Bell Nursery. It seems like they sell most of their plants, except bedding stuff on a commission type deal. It's odd. They had some beat up orchids a year ago that were stacked in a cart and I offered to buy all of them if they would reduce the price and that's when I found out about their strange sales practice. I wondered why I never saw a "house plant" on sale. I buy my lighting systems from ACF. They have decent prices andd good customer service.

You can count on Daniella to ID all the critters for us. I think we need to come up with a new name for her that reflects her knowledge of our garden visitors.

I love froggies..all critters really, always have since I was little. I was a major tomboy, no barbies or dresses for me.. mud, critters BMX bikes and GI Joe's, lol. The only thing I liked that was girly was Strawberry Shortcake from K-2nd grade. My older brother and I were always taking off going down the tracks and in the woods exploring n stuff. Not like kids now a days always watching tv, vidoe games, and on the comp. He worked in a pet shop for a quite a few years so I learned alot that way as well, I was there alot. ( I almost worked there too..but the guy wanted to interview me in the basement of the shop at like 9pm..as a 15 yr old girl that kinda scared me, lol, so I never went) If I don't know something I'll look it up. As a kid, I would bust out the encyclopedias to learn the stuff. And I was always, and still do to this day, watch alot of nature shows. Just love nature.
We always had tons of critters in the house. I remember one time we found giant snapping turtle, we found a blanket that someone left in the woods, got the turtle in it and walked all the way home with it and put it in the backyard..god that thing was big. Needless to say, our mother was not happy. We let him go at a neighborhood pond, where the kids have fishing derbies, lol.

OK so come up with a good name for me!! :)

Oh, he is a cutey! I'm so happy you have a frog now. I have to make Waldo II a little froggie condo this weekend. He is running out of lotus leaves to sleep in since its dying back now.
