Brug seeds take several months to ripen. Those seed pods must remain on the plant to mature. Cutting them off will ruin any chance of that. Last year, I potted up a brug plant with a seed pod on it, brought it indoors, and it matured and ripened in my dining room. It also continued to bloom all winter. When the seed pod was ready, it turned from hard dark green to a lighter greenish yellow, and was pretty soft. I cut it off then and opened it to remove the mature seeds. As far as I know, that's how to do it. Anyone else who does it differently can chime in. Can you cover it with a sheet for tonight? Good luck!
