November Brugs (and Katie)

Looks like we could possibly get a killing frost mid-week. We'll see. Why do the brugs always look so good right before getting zapped?

This a no-ID yellow. Will let it go as it's not particularly fragrant. Have others that I'll keep.

And of course, here's Katie!

Dave you are right...there are MANY brugs and not all worth keeping.

But when it comes to your Katie...well she is ONE OF A KIND and a keeper :-)

I sure was hoping to see her maybe in her 1st halloween outfit lol
Did she get to dress up?

Very cute kid. I like her smile.

Dave, too bad your brug has no scent because it sure has lots of flowers and buds!

Wow, Katie is just growing so! Look at her sitting and drinking out of a zippy cup already!

A pretty, precious baby, Dave. The hardest part of
growing brugs is stripping and taking them in. Pulled in
my last three (P&C)...stripped two and enjoying the one
with the most buds/blooms in the garden room. Your banana
plant is huge! When will you cut it back?

That's cool you can grow all that in Virginia! BTW, little Katie is the cutest!

Beautiful girl! you must be very proud! She has a very pretty smile!

Your brug is also lovely, and that banana outrageous!Bravo! I am not terribly sentimental about most plants (unless someone gave it to me) I do not mind letting some go, but that one does have a very pretty flower! This year I will be getting rid of many plants (time comes when you have to admit that sun plants WILL NOT THRIVE in a partly shady garden! Lucky ME to have found Brugs!

Have a wonderful day!

All, well, everything got zapped by frost last night. So it's goodbye to this last growing season. Now to get yard leaves raked, mulched and to enjoy the broadleafed evergreens. That tree to the right and in front of the brug is a red bay. It stays green year-round.

Also, I have some camellias blooming!

'Winter's Joy' just started. A hardy Ackerman hybrid should bloom thru December?

Spring's Promise started early this year! It will bloom on and off throughout the winter with warm spells. One of my favorites.
