Too much rain in December --- almost 15 inches.

I'm worried about my in-ground brugs. I'm afraid they may just float up and away.

Seriously, I am worried since the ground hasn't had a chance to dry out. There's not a lot I can do about it at this point. The extremely wet weather this time of year was unexpected. We don't usually have the heavy rains until spring and it's warm enough that the brugs are wanting water.

Just saw the weather forecast for today. It's changed.

Yesterday, the forecast was for clouds during the day and clearing tonight. Now, we're getting rain -- today and tonight.

I'm guessing we will go over the 15-inch mark for December.

And, we have an outdoor New Year's Eve party tonight. Bonfire and fireworks. Wonder how that will work out!

Hope you dry out soon, at least have the rain stop this evening so the party isn't ruined. We just got about 1/2" of ice and sleet but it's supposed to change over to rain later in the day. I hope it does because you can't drive in this crap even with a 4WD vehicle.

No fireworks allowed here in the city limits. So no worries if it rains...snows or sleets. Which I hope it will stop for you Amelia, Karyn and all others affected.

As for me....I hope I get to see the blue moon :-)

Amelia, hope the rain stopped for your outdoor party. We had rain the night before and all day yesterday, but during the day, it was just raining gently. I had plans on washing my jeep, but oh well it can now wait until next year!

Rain, fog and temps 10-15 degrees below normal. I'm sick of rain. It's so foggy right now can't see the parking lot.

I can't call that "rain" whatever came down here yesterday. It drizzled, at the most. Didn't even use an umbrella.
Eloise, you got more than we did here.

I sure hope that your brugs don't get washed out and that they will bloom for you in abundance in 2010.

Hope your NY gettogether was great rain or not!
Weather guy here said our snow accumulation to date yesterday was @26"...and we got 2"+ of drizzly rain when that big low pressure system stayed over us but kept temp at 'rain rather than snow' level xmas wknd.
Oh, and it'll struggle to get up into single digits during the day all the next week up here.
Just wanted to let you southern bruggers 'enjoy' it vicariously-LOL.
Anyhow, here's hoping 2010 brings us all a better growing and blooming year.
