OT: POTD: Just when I think, it will be a long winter

Good morning everyone

How is the snow regions going? Still hoping for everyone to be safe!!!

Chocolate Brug sure brightened up the day when I saw all your Blooms friend :-)

Even Dave's Holly tree looks super compared to my yard lol. I stopped calling it garden for now lol

Surprisingly there is ONE plant that I thought would freeze also....but is as healthy looking as it was before the cold set in.

Now lets play another lil game and see if you can guess what it is? ha ha ha ha

It will show how well you know the plants I had and HAVE lol

Hi, Lucy. Pretty hibiscus. Do you grow many of them? I
brought cuttings from Hawaii and I am sooooo surprised
how they rooted and are growing nicely.
Snow seems to have tapered off, however, I'm STILL
snowed in. Oh well...

What a beautiful colour on that hibiscus! All we ever get around here are the red and occassionally yellow with a red eye.

So what's the plant still in bloom? I wanted to check previous POTD's but there's only a 2 page forum history : (

oh no, Karyn you mean the history is gone?

I was going to take a picture yesterday in the afternoon, or early evening. When I THOUGHT about it....but it really was not showing up to clearly.

It is the Cardoon Plants. PrinceAlbert said that they take 2 years to bloom. I guess they are like Hollyhocks.

Actually there are a few other things still intact lol. Once I looked closer.

Margaret and Frances, I usually *safe* the next to dead hibiscus's from Lowes sales rack. Then I shipped some back from Florida. I can not wait to go there in February again for DGS birthday.

But for the Cajun ones, I luckily was able to participate in the co op at DG.
