Leave them on the plant and continue to water sparingly. Not sure if you need to keep them in a lighted area for the pods to mature but I do. Once the pods are removed they stop ripening. Unless very close to maturity the seeds won't be viable. Congrats on your seed pods.

I have left the pods on the plants. I have 8 pretty large pods that are green and from the touch I think I will have loads of seeds from each of them I keep a grow lux lamp on during
the day but turn it off at night.

Hopefully I will have lots of seeds that will give me lots of plants to give away at my plant swaps

Not many people up here in NH have heard of Brugmansia and it is rare to find any in the nurseries but when they see a plant in blossom they are envious and want one.

Hi I live in central Texas, how do you "make" a brug make seed pods? mine do not produce seed pods I have a dble white one and yellow single one for years they bloom but no seed pods at all. Any advice? thanks M.N.

Most of mine don't get naturally pollinated and need hand pollination. I seem to get the best results when I hand pollinate in the evening, the first day the bloom is fully opened. I guess that mimics when the natural pollinators would be most active. Sometimes I just use my finger but a small paint brush works better. You can also snap off a pollen laden anther and just brush it up against the stigma of another flower.

Get Ila Marie. She will make seed pods with anything!! LOL
I only pollinated about 5 blooms on her this year but she has about 30 pods now. Major HOOTCHIE, is what she is but lovely.

Thanks for the advice this coming year I will try that when my brugies are blooming, I will also try that with my hibiscus, I have some tropical hibiscus and some perenial? they die back during the winter and come back from the roots or I save seeds and just throw them in the ground this last ones they produce a large-dinner plate flowers after finished blooming they put on seed pods but not my tropical ones the ones with a sort of leathery leaves-glosy shiny leaves, I am terrible with names sorry about that M.N.
