Christmas Brug & seed pod

Here's my white noid brug. I dug it up from the yard because I crossed it with another brug & am waiting for the seeds to mature. What a treat to have a bloom in my dining room, just in time for Christmas!
Smell is weird- kinda like baby powder & something else.

It sure is pretty. Will it have a name some day?

Very pretty. Do you remember what variety you used to pollinate? I have one in bloom downstairs and it has absolutely no scent so I'm letting it stay. I just noticed that my lone surviving seed pod is yellowing and I don't think it's mature. I'll just leave it until it drops and hope that some seeds ripen.

I'm not sure about naming it- I've never done that before & don't know how to go about it. I pollinated it with Creamsickle, my most favorite Brug. she has awesome form, and great scent. This seed pod is pretty firm, with just a little give to it. I'm waiting a long time for it to ripen. Can anyone tell me how many months it takes? Does it dry out & turn brown when ready?
Thanks!

They take about 6 months to ripen, give or take. The pod will begin to soften and discolor (not brown, just lighter)and the stem may yellow. I wait to open it until the pod is extremely soft. If the pod isn't soft when it comes off I'll let it sit a few days before opening. I've had pods with as few as 25 seeds and as many as 125, maybe more.

You can call it whatever you want. Registering it is another story completely. It's always fun to grow a brug from your own seeds. Enjoy!
