This is the first time I've ever seen one of these. Butterflyer1966 found it clinging to a window high on the side of my house. Neither of us could get very close, but the butterfly remained still for several minutes so that we could shoot pictures from a distance. You can judge the size by the miniblinds on the inside of the window. We both think it is a Gemmed Satyr, Cyllopsis gemma. Are we right?
