That's a Giant Swallowtail. What is cool is that the underside is yellow with black.

Mary, I want me one of those! I have rue...Will I get any here in CT? I think they are very rare here.

Can someone tell me the name of the second butterfly? We have tons of them down here and I'd like to plant for them but I have no clue what they are!

The second one is the black one with the yellow bands. It is the Giant Swallowtail. Its host plants are Wild Lime, Rue, and other Citrus. I have only had eggs on my Wild Lime. They fly around the Rue but haven't used it.

Thanks Mboston, now if my rue seeds would hurry up and grow. I am not sure what wild lime is but I have a lime tree, would they use that? (I also have a lemon and orange, is it any citrus?)

I will do some research on their eggs etc...maybe I can spot one!
