Butterfly Garden

American Lady on White Butterfly Bush

I've only got three pictures of ALs nectaring, and in every case, they're on my White Profusion butterfly bush. Here's the picture I made today - I especially love the pink area on their undersides -

Don't you just LOVE that plant?

It's one of the few that attracts RSPs for me.

This Great Spangled Fritillary just loved it last year. Kept coming back daily.

It has the typical buddleia davidii honey smell, Sherry.
It's also the only one I can remember seeing RSPs on, too, Mary Ann - I really do LOVE my White Profusion!

Yep, he/she was my pride and joy of the 2004 butterfly year.

Even though I'm way up here in CT, they really aren't common until you get into Mass. or above.
