| I bought a dill plant at a local garden center - ( which has a butterfly house and releases each summer) I brought the dill plant home and potted it. Had it outside on a bench near the kitchen-- It wasn't doing well so I repotted it into a slightly larger pot and moved it onto our screened porch. Still not doing well --- Amazing-- today when I watered it-- I noticed 3 yellow, black, and white striped catepillars munching away on it ( They are about 3/4 inch long) -- no wonder it wasn't doing well. My question is: I know they will devour the plant (it is small)-- How do I keep the caterpillars alive? Should I buy another larger dill plant for them to eat? Do I move it outside the screen porch and take the chance that something eats them-- Should I keep it on the screened porch? Help! |
