Does anyone know what these are? These guys are a first for us! I don't even know what plant they are eating!

Very cool photo!

Those are catalpa sphinx caterpillars - they can defoliate entire trees and are considered great fishing bait.

They aren't the catalpa sphinx caterpillar. For one thing, they would each have a little horn on the back. These look more like sawfly larvae to me, but I sure would like to know the name of the plant.

Sawfly larvae tend to be quite species specific.

I keep clicking in to look at the photo again...what a great shot. So perfect the way they are all around the edges end to end, like it was posed.
