Thanks for the followup! I found the same type of cluster on my fennel, and picked it off. Now I'm mad that I did, since they would have eaten those pesky milkweed nymphs.

I almost did the same thing, but I forgot about them until I finally saw them moving. The only thing that puzzles me is that the cluster of eggs was white, and when I saw the info on ladybugs, they are all yellow clusters. Time will tell.
