I was ecstatic to see a Pipevine Swallowtail this weekend, and outraged when the aggressive Monarch, Louise/Luis, chased it away. Yesterday it came back, and it was still here today. It flew around so fast, I couldn't believe it was possible. It would take off in one direction and a second later come back at me from behind. It turned out to be two of them, playng tricks on me. When I was good and dizzy, they met in the air a few feet in front of me and flew round and round each other. I didn't get a shot of them together, but these pics show both. One of them had only one tail, and the other had none. Neither had particularly bright hindwings, so I'm not sure if one was a male.
